It’s hard to believe that a year has already passed since our house was completed! Our decision to build instead of purchase an existing home was confirmed when we met with Chris the first time as we were considering a different property and plan. His honesty and professionalism were immediately evident - and even though we didn’t go ahead at that time we knew that Custom Carpentry would build our home when we found a lot and plan that worked for us.

Even from the beginning, the process seemed almost easy. We never felt the stresses that we had been warned about by others who have built. Chris was flexible and resourceful, and helpful through all of the stages of construction. He offered suggestions and recommendations that made our home truly unique both inside and out. Patient with our occasional indecision, he found ways to achieve the look and style we were seeking, while assisting us with finding better values.

Since we were not able to visit the site frequently (we were moving from the other side of the state), we counted on Chris to be our eyes and ears, and he kept us well informed. Communication was ongoing via phone and email, and we were always made aware of the timing needed to keep things on schedule.

Chris’s high standards and expectations, along with his excellent management skills were reflected in so many ways – from meticulous attention to detail to the cleanliness of the job site. The wonderful team of subcontractors shared the same philosophy. Always professional, friendly and courteous, they have also been a pleasure to work with. Our home is a beautiful example of their craftsmanship.
